“ Our first time here for dinner and what a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious. We had the arancini and mussels as starters . for our main dish we had the pork with spicy marinara sauce which came with broccoli and fingerling potatoes and one of the specials: mushroom risotto with scallops. For desert we shared a healthy portion of tiramisu. Our waitress Natalie was very nice and the owner Mike checked in with us multiple times too. All the food tasted very fresh and was nicely prepared using quality ingredients We will definitely be back! ”

“ Stix n Stones has incredible food! I ate lunch here last week, and it was so good, I made a point to come back for dinner. This is exquisite food! And it's in such an unassuming little spot on the edge of Storrs...I'm glad I finally stopped in. For dinner, I had the Sicilian salad, which included oranges and capers berries with tomatoes, and it was fantastic. I also had the seafood parpadelle with saffron sauce. It was a delight. I expected the sauce to be creamy, but I'm glad it wasn't. More like a saffron cioppino with parpadelle. Exquisite! Add to that the bread with olive oil dipping plate, delicious wine, and a limoncello mascarpone cake. This little place really exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it! ”

“ Overall one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Nicole, over server answered all our questions regarding the menu and was attentive the entire evening. The chicken parm and francaise, arrived perfectly cooked and seasoned, mine could have been a bit hotter though. Dessert here is a must, eccellente! The interior is rather small but we can't wait to try the outdoor area when the weather allows. The highlight of our evening was when Mike, the owner, came to our table and treated with us as if we were his only guests. We will be returning. ”

“ I visited from out of state and immediately felt welcome and comfortable in the cozy environment. There were plenty of menu options for everyone in addition to the separate chef's specials. You could tell everything was made with fresh ingredients with large portion sizes. Staff was friendly with excellent service. Ordered the Arancini, Sicilian salad, Seafood fra Diavolo, and the pistachio/ricotta dessert with coffee and everything was delicious. Very close to UConn as well. I highly recommend and will definitely be back! ”
